Jason currently sits on the investments team at Vitol Inc., the world's largest independent energy commodities trading firm. He joined Vitol following its acquisition of Triten Energy Partners (TEP) — the downstream platform he launched in partnership with Tailwater Capital. TEP invested in midstream and downstream assets, including acquisitions and greenfield development projects, that produce end-products for the global refined products, renewable fuels, and petrochemical industries. Jason also serves on the Triten Board, which he joined in 2020.
Before launching TEP, Jason served as Vice President at Intervale Capital, where he was responsible for deal sourcing, execution, and managing a portfolio of oilfield, midstream, and industrial services businesses. He also evaluated midstream and downstream platforms and oversaw Intervale's venture portfolio, including investments in hydrocarbon processing and chemical production technologies. Prior to Intervale, Jason co-founded Recapture Solutions, a midstream services business offering modular gas processing to the E&P industry, which was sold to Intervale in August 2014. He began his career as an analyst with Farallon Capital Management, a multi-strategy hedge fund, supporting equity and debt investment strategies across public and private sectors. Jason holds a BA in International Studies from the University of Denver.
